BAHRAIN'S Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa begins today a key Asia-wide tour, as his campaign to win the West Asia seat on Fifa's Executive Committee continues to gain momentum.
Shaikh Salman is running against Asian Football Confederation (AFC) president Mohammed bin Hammam for the prestigious Fifa post.
He makes his first stop on the tour today when he meets Chinese Football Association officials in Beijing. He will then be visiting several members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Football Federation (AFF), including Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar in the coming fortnight.
