WASHINGTON _ Think those federal tax forms are complicated now?
Just wait until the new tax bill goes into effect.
New tax breaks for children, college costs and retirement savings may mean extra cash, but they also mean a more complex tax system that will add hours at the kitchen table or dollars on the accountants' bill to figure out how to get them.
And don't count on the increased complexity to build any momentum for simplification.
The very tax cuts that will make the tax code more complex will make more people want to defend the system to keep their own breaks.
