Deep-fried cheese curds, Badgerland's most gloriously decadent snack, are neither healthy nor cheap. But for many of us, they have a seductive appeal that's hard to deny.
The House of Wisconsin Cheese, 107 State St., sells the major ingredients for making fresh fried cheese curds on the stove at home. It's true that $7.70 won't make a very big batch, but when eating fried cheese, it's a good idea to have something that encourages a least a nod toward moderation.
