PRESENT and future matriculants might have to wait until January for their matric results, if a request to Minister of Education Naledi Pandor to release the results later is granted.
Umalusi - the independent body responsible for the monitoring, moderation and standardisation of the National Senior Certificate - has asked Pandor to consider releasing the results in early January 2010 to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
In the past few years, the matric results were released at the end of December.
