From bow to stern, Vriezo's modern potato processing factory is run as efficiently as a tight ship in a blue water navy. On deck as operations manager is Rinze de Vries, who is a combination chief engineer, quality control officer, expedition expert, R&D man and production boss rolled all into one.
The ISO 9002-certified plant, a showcase of state-of-the-art equipment, sports a pair of high-speed optical sorters supplied by Pulsarr and Key-Superior. They feature a series of cameras that scan fast moving flies passing on conveyors for any sign of discoloration for other undesirable characteristics.
