Production of liquid fuels in coal-gasification process is unprofitable in Poland - study
WARSAW. MARCH 26. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Production of liquid fuels in the coal-gasification process is unprofitable in Poland below the oil price at USD 87 per barrel, according to an analysis prepared jointly by Energoprojekt-Katowice Research Bureau and an Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal (ICPW) for the Polish Ministry of Economy.
"Making a decision to support liquid fuel production is unjustified in technical and economic terms," reads the analysis. "The minimal oil price which would make the project profitable amounts to USD 87 per barrel."
