Alaska Airlines will serve as the official airline sponsor of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, marking the 31st year the airline has supported the race (see also Alaska Airlines).
"The Iditarod is one of Alaska's most-celebrated traditions," said Susan Bramstedt, Alaska Airlines' director of public affairs for the state of Alaska. "It's an honor to support the race and contribute to the ongoing success and safety of such an amazing event."
The airline will again present the Leonhard Seppala Humanitarian Award, which recognizes one musher for providing exemplary dog care and is considered the highest honor a competitor can receive. The award is named ...
