Renting Croke Park for rugby and soccer on eight or nine occasions a year generates more money than the combined income from the All-Ireland football and hurling finals.
It brings in as much as the combined gate receipts from the Leinster and Munster championships and three times more than the returns from the National football and hurling Leagues.
The IRFU and FAI have already handed over '18.7m to the GAA for two years rent money (2007-2008), a figure which will increase by around '10m this year.
