Elizabeth, 17, started popping pills when she was 12. Xanax, Vicodin, Valium, OxyContin--she tried them all. Her boyfriend was in high school and she wanted to look cool in front of his friends, who snorted crushed up prescription medication for fun. One night, they offered some to Elizabeth. "I wanted to fit in, and everyone was using pills. I thought it would be OK," she says.
