In a country where children learn the word Nike right after mastering Mama and Dada, it stands to reason that American kids spend most of their childhood sporting athletic shoes. However, while U.S. athletic footwear companies have successfully marketed their images around the globe, European parents still dress their little ones with more panache, a practice that has kept the kids shoe business on that continent healthy and exciting.
