The emergence of psychosexual behaviors is both a fundamental aspect of human development and one of the most intimate concerns of adolescents. Both the fact that most adolescents are uncomfortable with this developmental phenomenon and the intimate nature of human sexuality render adolescent sexuality an especially difficult topic of investigation.
