China's iron ore stockpiles rise to 67.44 mln tons by March 27
Shanghai. March 27. INTERFAX-CHINA - Iron ore stockpiles at China's 22 major ports stood at 67.44 million tons on Friday, March 27, up 3.71 percent from March 20, while Indian iron ore stockpiles increased by 1.5 percent to 16.87 million tons, according to figures released by Shanghai-based Mysteel.
Falling steel product prices have forced most steel mills to cut production once again, which has lowered domestic iron ore demand as well as iron ore prices. Iron ore prices will stay around current low levels until steel product prices rebound.
