I am in a position that any of The Apprentice's 15 candidates - er, 14 candidates after the firing of Anita Shah last Wednesday - would die to be in. Joining Sir Alan Sugar on one of his twice-weekly, 50-mile blasts through the Essex countryside, I am keeping up with his nippy Italian carbon-frame bike and no longer worrying that some lippy question will get me dumped somewhere en route between Ongar and Abbess Roding.
I am ahead of the curve, 110 per cent committed, passionate, determined, a doer ... and I am even riding close enough to plant a kiss on Sir Alan's Lycra bobbing backside if I so choose.
