RIYADH: The Dirab Ladies Group held its second Texas Scramble format competition of the new season. As usual, the Texas Scramble for March 2009 was well attended with the team of Vivienne Sanderson, May Biswas, Madele Burger and Theresa Wade winning first place.

Sanderson's squad won by countback over the quartet of Japanese Mitsuyo Saito, Jette Banke Jorgensen, Rita Dadzis and Eveline Marko after the sides were tied on 77 after 18 holes on a lovely Tuesday morning at Dirab Golf Club.

The title was decided on the last three holes after the back nine and back six scores still produced no result in a hotly contested battle ...
