S&P DOWNGRADES 4 KAZAKH BANKS TO "C"

ASTANA - Standard and Poor's has cut the long-term counter party credit ratings on Kazakhstan-based Alliance bank and BTA Bank, and its two subsidiaries Temirbank and BTA-Ipoteka Mortgage Co.

Ratings of Alliance bank were lowered from "B/B" to "C/C," BTA bank, Temirbank and BTA Ipoteka ratings were lowered from "CCC +/C" to "C."
