BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Microelectronics Group of Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) has equipped Hewlett-Packard's new Pavilion multimedia PCs, now available on store shelves, with high-speed K56flex(TM) modem chip sets.
The Pavilion multimedia PC 8100 series contains Lucent's highly integrated, low-cost modem chip set, called Apollo*, which enables PCs to do collaborative computing, videoconferencing, telegaming and other interactive services, as well as surf the Internet at the highest speeds possible over analog phone lines.
