Alkane is a green investment with few green investors - they are missing out
Green funds should be ashamed of themselves. None of them is a top 20 investor in Alkane. Not only is Alkane a green business because it extracts methane gas from coal beds, converts it to electricity and sells it on, but the shares have performed well in moving sideways for the past three years. In contrast, Gartmore has recently increased its stake to more than 27 per cent.
