Aug. 19--Piano sales have been slow during the past few years, but a growing interest in the digital piano may be reversing the trend.
Although those who sell pianos or teach piano education have varied opinions on the differences between the acoustic and digital piano, they all agree the digital piano has had an effect on the piano industry.
Phyllis Olsen, with Olsen Piano, said sales have increased at her store at 2108E W. 27th St., thanks to the digital piano, whose market has become more affordable compared to the acoustic piano.
