TUPELO, Miss. _ It takes just 18 steps to walk through the birthplace of the King, a tour that demands only a minute of your time and a dollar from your pocket.
Somehow that seems right _ in life, Elvis belonged to everyone.
They came to the two-room clapboard house by the hundreds Saturday, children on crutches and old men on canes, seeking to pay their respects on the 20th anniversary of his death and to join in the biggest-ever celebration of his life. Some came from across the world, others from down the block.
