Detroit Electric Holdings and PROTON Holdings Berhad, Malaysia's largest automobile manufacturer, today announced a partnership to mass produce Pure Electric Vehicles.
Under the agreement, Detroit Electric, which will integrate its patented electric drive systems into the vehicles, will license two Proton vehicle platforms and contract with the company to assemble the electric vehicles that will be marketed under Detroit Electric's brand.
