OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- A comprehensive eight-year study of almost 130,000 Kaiser Permanente members in Northern California concludes that, while light drinking definitely helps protect against heart disease, red wine confers no more protection than beer or white wine.
The study, entitled "Red Wine, White Wine, Liquor, Beer and Risk for Coronary Artery Disease Hospitalization," was published in the August 15 issue of the American Journal of Cardiology.
