For those in the television industry, the migration to digital television and the discontinuation of analog broadcasting is the culmination of more than 20 years spent researching, discussing, trying and perfecting what is intended to be an improvement in the technology we use for news, information and entertainment. Looking back through time, there are similar elements that changed too, without the influence and direction of government. So what does all of this mean? Let's reflect and maybe we can come to a conclusion about where we in the telephone industry should be focused.
