Five candidates are running for three spots on the Streamwood park board. They are: incumbents Thomas E. Keating and Paula Lambertz and challengers Adriana Armstrong, John Beto and Richard A. Brogan.
Q. Are there facilities or services that are sorely needed in the park district? If so, what? And how would you pay for them?
Armstrong: The park district sorely needs to improve the quality and safety of some of its fields. The backstops at Dolphin Park are desperately in need of being replaced. The condition of the soccer fields at Hoosier Grove is terrible. These are two examples. I would propose attempting to fund the purchase of backstops through grant ...
