Iceland-based geothermal company Enex has engineered and constructed a geothermal binary power plant under an engineering, construction, procurement and management contract from geothermal power utility LaGeo in El Salvador. The 9.3 MW plant is reported to be operating at full capacity.
All tests have been completed and the plant has entered a one year service guarantee period. The contract with LaGeo, worth over $13 million was performed in close co-operation with LaGeo, which undertook a large portion of the civil works.
