Passenger trains haven't rumbled through Madison since the early 1970s and I'd wager against seeing regular service here again any time soon. There are just too many stars that need to align.
But political foes of County Executive Kathleen Falk are betting that Falk's support for a commuter rail system between Middleton and the outskirts of Sun Prairie will help bring victory to challenger Nancy Mistele.
