Crosbie and Dunnes settle D23m Point row
A DISPUTE over the alleged failure of Dunnes Stores to complete an agreement to become anchor tenant at the Point Village development in Dublin's docklands has been settled.
Businessman Harry Crosbie claimed Dunnes' alleged failure was jeopardising the continued financing of the project. He brought an action for orders requiring Dunnes to pay '23m under the alleged agreement.
When the case came before Mr Justice Peter Kelly at the Commercial Court yesterday, he was told by counsel for Point Village Development (PVD) that the action had been settled and could be struck out.
