Aug. 27--Thomson Consumer Electronics has suited up to score big on sales of its large-screen televisions, through an exclusive sponsorship agreement with the National Football League.
Indianapolis-based Thomson on Tuesday announced a three-year agreement with the NFL that permits Thomson to slap logos of the NFL and its teams on its RCA video and audio products.
Thomson also hopes to convert football fever into sales through NFL-related promotions in retail stores.
The sponsorship also could allow Thomson to create promotions offering consumers a chance to attend the Super Bowl with the purchase of an RCA product.
