Czech anti-monopoly office allows top Czech food processer Agrofert to buy Agropol
PRAGUE. APRIL 2. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - The Czech anti-monopoly office (UOHS) said Thursday it will allow leading Czech chemical and food-processing company Agrofert to purchase the agricultural concern Agropol Group, which together will have annual revenues of some CZK 100 bln.
"In detailed analyses of particular markets that will be affected by the merger [*] UOHS indentified possible concerns of undermining economic competition in nine segments in total," the office said in its decision, including fertilizers, animal feeds, and plant oils in six Czech regions.
