SHOPPING in Belfast will be a whole lot easier this month after 200 stores joined a new discount scheme to help customers battle the credit crunch.
Staff from the city council and the Visitor and Convention Bureau came up with the idea - and shop owners jumped at the chance to encourage more spending.
Now more than 200 shops in the city centre, Lisburn Road, Belmont Road, the Shankill and Falls, Bloomfield Avenue and Ormeau Road are giving shoppers special treatment.
