The Nature Publishing Group is teaming up with the European Society of Human Genetics to give researchers who publish their work in the European Journal of Human Genetics (EJHG) the option to make their articles open access. Now, authors can opt in to EJHG Open for a publication fee of $3,000, making their research available for free on both the journal website and PubMed Central. Authors can also self-archive the final published PDF upon publication.
Nature also upgraded its Elucian Islands location in the Second Life virtual world, adding a Charles Darwin-themed island. The new area is a re-creation of South America and the Galapagos Islands that includes a ...
