AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Color Imaging, Inc. (DCI) has this area's first all-digital printing system; the Heidelberg Quickmaster DI waterless offset printing press. This computer-to-press (CTP) system prints directly from electronic files eliminating most of the manual steps that go into conventional full-color printing.
DCI acquired the Quickmaster DI in response to the growing demand for what the industry calls "short-run color printing." With marketers more precisely targeting their audiences, the quantities needed of individual sales pieces has decreased. And, they want material created faster than ever.
