Helix Express is one of the oldest Mac database programs, and Phyla is one of the newest; where Helix builds on familiar relational structure, Phyla is object-oriented. But both offer a uniquely Mac approach to database construc- tion: they let mere mortals use convenient graphical tools to create custom databases with little or no training.
