Halston Signature bowed at Saks Fifth Avenue last week and rang up $120,000 in sales at a two-day fall trunk show, said Carmine Porcelli, managing director and executive vice president of Halston International.
The launch featured windows for the collection and a full-page ad in the Sunday New York Times. Porcelli said customers were walking into the store on last Tuesday and Wednesday carrying the ad, which pictured a cashmere halter gown.
The dark gray gown, which retails for $990, wound up being the top seller, along with many other cashmere pieces, Porcelli said.
