A focus group discussing the future of Coon Rapids Boulevard started out with consensus about the thoroughfare's current status: ugly, worn-out, inadequate, dangerous.
That's a good start, actually, for Anoka, Coon Rapids and Anoka County officials who want residents to weigh in on plans for the 5.7-mile stretch, also known as County Road 1, from East River Road to Seventh Avenue.
