An Air Force depot's win over two major defense contractors of a C-5 transport maintenance contract has not changed the determination of members of the Depot Caucus to pass legislation that would end competitions for the work at depots scheduled to be closed in California and Texas.
The Air Force last week announced the award of the $434 maintenance and repair contract to Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Ga., which beat Boeing [BA] and Lockheed Martin [LMT] for the work (Defense Daily, Sept. 5).
