The Asian Shepherd comes from a rich ancestry of nomadic shepherd's dogs. This breed developed as civilization developed. The progenitors of the Asian Shepherd spread westward from its beginning in eastern Asia. As early man moved to find pasturage, as armies marched and conquered, as trade developed, as religious movements swept across early cultures, the Asian Shepherd traveled ever westward across Asia, through Central Asia, parts of Africa, and westward and northward into Europe.
