It could be New Mexico's loss but the federal government's gain, at least for a year. New Mexico Assistant Attorney General Raul Torres has been selected as a regional finalist with a shot at being accepted into the prestigious White House Fellows Program.
Torres is one of 108 individuals from around the country chosen as regional finalists for the program. The next step will be to take part in a thorough interview process, which will narrow the field to some 30 national finalists.
