Sara Lee North American Foodservice is conducting a voluntary recall of Chef Pierre Chocolate Peanut Butter Silk Pie, a foodservice product.
In a release, the Company noted that the voluntary recall is being conducted as a precautionary measure due to this product containing peanut pieces subject to the expanded recall of products produced by Peanut Corp. of America's (PCA) Blakely, Georgia facility. This PCA facility is the subject of an investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concerning a recent salmonella outbreak. No other Sara Lee Corp. products are involved in this recall.
