NAGOYA, April 8 Asia Pulse - Autoparts suppliers of Toyota Motor Corp. (TSE:7203) are shedding U.S. and European jobs through early retirements.
Denso Corp. (TSE:6902) is accepting applications at three plants in the U.S. state of Michigan, targeting a total of 3,600 employees. Demand for air conditioning systems and other products is down sharply on reduced production by Toyota and the Detroit Three automakers.
In the U.K., Denso expects to cut nearly 200 jobs at its West Yorkshire plant and another that together employ 1,800 people in all.
