PITTSBURGH, April 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Federated Investors, Inc. today announced that Thomas M. O'Neill, a member of the Board of Trustees for Federated Premier Municipal Income Fund and Federated Premier Intermediate Municipal Income Fund , has been elected to the Audit Committee of the Board effective Apr. 1, 2009.

O'Neill is currently managing director and partner at Navigator Management Company, L.P., which provides investment and strategic consulting. Previously, he served as president, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Fleet Investment Advisors.
