COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Pacific Airlines, Inc. (Nasdaq: WPAC) today reported August 1997 revenue passenger miles (RPM's) increased to 241,036,000, up from 157,623,200, or 52.9 percent, for the same period last year. Available seat miles (ASM'S) increased to 362,687,000 for August 1997, up from 262,194,500 for the same period last year, an increase of 38.3 percent. The passenger load factor increased to 66.5 percent for August 1997, an increase of 6.3 points over August 1996. The airline reported carrying 274,353 passengers in August 1997, up from 178,391 in August 1996, an increase of 53.8 percent.
