Less than a year after its acquisition of Overland Trading, Track 'n Trail Inc. is preparing to go public.
The El Dorado Hills, Calif.,-based retailer expects to raise between $27.3 million and $32.7 million in an offering which it expects will take place in late September or early October.
In fiscal 1996, the company earned $4.4 million on sales of $66.2 million, according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Those results were up from earnings of $2.4 million on $50.7 million in sales.
