Introduction

In Kuwait, slaughterhouses have been recycling their wastewater since the mid-1990s. This industrial process creates a residue called FOG (fat, oil, and grease). Long-established disposal methods for FOG waste streams include discharging to sanitary sewers, stabilization with concrete and disposal in landfills.
