Article: American Institute for Cancer Research Cites Soy Products For Fighting Cancer, Heart Disease; Taste-Tests for Soy Burgers

WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Institute for Cancer Research says isoflavones -- found in soybeans -- "may inhibit enzymes necessary for the growth and spread of many types of cancer," and so its staff members have taste-tested a variety of soy products.

"Population studies show low rates of certain cancers in countries where soy is a regular part of the diet, such as many areas in Asia," AICR's latest newsletter said.
