Crossrail has handed 17 construction companies places on its Enabling Works Framework, giving the chosen firms the opportunity to bid for packages of enabling works on the [pounds sterling]16bn Crossrail project.
The framework, which applies to the entire Crossrail route, is divided into four categories - site facilities, demolition, civil structures and utilities. BAM Nuttall, a Costain/Skanska joint venture, J Murphy and Sons, Kier Construction and Morgan Est have been nominated for two categories, while Laing ORourke Construction has secured a place in three - civils, demolition and utilities.
