VIRGINIA BEACH - On Good Friday, April 10, 2009, the Rev. "Phil" Dalton, 79, took his flight to be forever safe in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He suffered many years with the effects of Parkinson's disease and PSP. During his final days, his loving and dedicated family constantly surrounded him. Born in Greenville, S.C., he was predeceased by his parents and a sister.
Left behind to cherish the memory of this wonderful man are his beloved wife and partner of 60 years, Shirley Oldaker Dalton; three daughters, Mary Ellen McKinney of Vallejo, Calif., Phyllis Bungert (Ronnie) and Lois M. Dalton Ritger (John), all of Virginia Beach and his son, ...
