Former North Syracuse police officer Michael Stassi, who filed a civil rights suit against the village in 2008, said the possible resolution of that case is delayed with the news this week that former North Syracuse and Marcellus police chief Dan Wilkinson filed for bankruptcy.
Stassi, who touched off the time sheet investigation with complaints to the North Syracuse village board and the district attorney's office in 2005, is seeking $5 million for loss of wages and benefits, defamation of character and emotional pain, suffering and distress.
