DARMSTADT, Germany, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Software AG has released the first commercial version of DCOM for Unix. The product for Sun Solaris systems can be downloaded -- currently for free -- from Software AG's Web site (www.sagus.com), and will be available for Digital Unix (64 Bit) in about four weeks. Further commercial releases, including the IBM mainframe, are due during the rest of the year. These releases are the culmination of two years of close collaboration between the German software developer and Microsoft.
