ACOLD, wet day at the footballing outpost of Chesterfield, and Michael Sheen is about to behave with almost sadistic cruelty towards his fellow actors.
He insists that, to a man, they trot up and down the steep, wooden steps of the main stand at the Saltergate stadium in north Derbyshire, while he sits idly reading a newspaper.
And when this particularly long and tiring form of torture is over, he runs after them, around the perimeter of the muddied pitch, haranguing them for not being very good footballers, bullying them into more effort.
