A lot of musicians look to connect the past with the present and the future. But few do that by actively reaching back to connect with older musicians. Denmark's Mette Kathrine puts the dots together. Her solo CD, Ojeblikke, finds her playing accordion with contemporaries as well as musicians from Denmark's first folk revival in the 1970s. As part of Zenobia, she's making a new tradition. She also performs in a couple of duos, Jensen & Bugge (with fiddler and dancing partner Kristian Bugge) and Kvasir.
